Taiwan

Tea has a rich history in Taiwan, dating back to the 18th century. It was introduced by the Qing Dynasty and immigrants from Fujian Province. During Japanese colonial rule, tea cultivation techniques improved, leading to high-quality teas. In the 1980s, Taiwan became a significant tea producer, known for its world-famous ball-rolled oolongs grown in the high mountains. Taiwanese teas are unique and diverse in flavours, colours, and aromas.
